STUDIO ARTISTS JOIN RALLY AGAINST BUDGET CUTS
Friday, June 5th there was a rally at the Humboldt County Courthouse in protest against the upcoming cuts to services which help seniors and people with disabilities. There were also many people from some of those services at the rally as well. Channel 3 News was there and some Studio artists talked on camera. At the end of the rally everyone marched along with a band.
GUEST ARTISTS HOLD WORKSHOPS AT THE STUDIO
Collage artist Ashley Hudson came to The Studio on Wednesday, June 19, to give a demonstration and workshop in collage techniques. Her demonstration included a slide show and utilized hand made paper. A group of Studio artists cut and pasted their own designs.
Through the month of July, outsider artist Reuben Sorensen has been collaborating with Studio artists on a giant paper mache' landscape complete with mountains, roads and trees.
