There are many different ways in which supporters of The Studio can get involved:
The Studio depends on support from our community in order to provide high quality materials for our artists. Some examples of new or used supplies that are needed and will be appreciated are:
- acrylic paint and acrylic mediums
- Sharpie markers of all colors
- non toxic, low-fire ceramic glazes
- canvas (stretched or raw), masonite, canvas panels and stretcher bars
- framing and matting supplies
- artist quality paper and pencils
Some examples of supplies we cannot accept:
- oil paints, oil based mediums and varnishes, solvents and paint thinners
- lead based ceramic glazes
- rubber cement
- broken equipment
- rock hard brushes
- most clays
The Studio supplies everything our artists need for their work, including studio space, instruction, all art materials and opportunities to show and sell their artwork. Your donations are extremely important in allowing us to provide high quality services.

IN THE GALLERY
Kevin Snow, Gallery Sitter at The Cheri Blackerby
The Cheri Blackerby Gallery is open 10-2pm Monday through Friday. The gallery is also open for art receptions from 6-9 pm the first Saturday of every month for Arts Alive. We also participate in several other art related events during the year. We always need volunteers to help us in the gallery to welcome visitors, provide information, set up for events, staff the refreshments area and many other duties. Requirements are minimal, an enthusiastic attitude being the most important. For more information and to schedule an interview, contact The Studio at 707-443-1428 or send us an e-mail.
